Type: Housing Client: Bekkjarvik eiendom Status: Competition 2022

The housing project is located in a park area in Bekkjarvik, Austevoll. The project consists of 5 single family houses and 3 apartment buildings. A total of 14 units. The main focus of the project is the life between the houses. The vision is to create a pleasant neighborhood for mix users. Here you can stay in a green park area wit- hin a good neighborhood, close to the nature and having good contact with the sea.

The house body itself is 10 x 10 m. The sun-conditions are optimized by a good distance between the buildings, where each of the home have their own private garden without access to other neighbors. In the middle of the residential area there are two squares that serve as a social meeting place with a more public character. Internal streets and pedestrian connections are connecting the neighborhood. There is also a private garage in the back of the residences. From here you can walk directly from the car to the square and into the houses.
