As a result of increased tourism in Hardanger, Kinsarvik camping is upgrading its facilities with a new administration building and an operational building.

The administration building is formed as a welcoming building that addresses the larger landscape with high mountains and a beautiful fjord. The form of the building stretches from the mountains to the center core of the building where the everyday activities take place with a reception and a kitchen. Around this core, the building is divided in three building volumes. We distinguish between entrance, serving area and administration.

The apartment building addresses the large landscape with a sloping roof angel who frame the mountain view. Each apartment has their own glass front facing south and the camping area. The building consists of 5 apartments of 75 m2, where every one of them are universally formed. We distinguish between private and semi-priva- te outdoor areas in front of the building. The operating area for the hole camping is located on the lower floor with 420 m2 and will house all daily utilities and operational services for Kinsarvik Camping.
