Villa K is an single family house on top of a rock in a western landscape. The horizontal building grows up from the landscape and form one inner courtyard. The courtyard is well suited in the western climate of Norway where the atrium provides shelter for the harsh weather and wind. The courtyard allows the family to use the outdoor space regardless of the harsh climate.

The movement in the dwelling offers varied views and lights for all the seasons. The choice of materials is inspired by the old stone guards in the area.
